In India friends of T&C are Ravneet, Jyoti and Abhinav from Sadhana Travels in Delhi - www.sadhanatravels.com .  They can arrange for you to travel to Ladakh, where you can join an expedition to collect medicinal herbs with Tibetan amchi (doctors) from the Yuthog Foundation at Nurla and help to preserve traditional Tibetan medical training.   Or they can arrange for you to take a train across the plain of the Ganges to the holy city of Varanasi and book you into the Ramshi Guest House where the proprietor, a friend of T&C can arrange visits to two most wonderful village schools in Sarnath and in Bodh Gaya. 

In the north west of China  the T&C Club has friends in Lanzhou at the Provincial Museum who can arrange for you to travel in the area and visit a rural primary school and a college for ethnic minorities (mostly Tibetans).  Or they can arrange for you to travel up the Hexi Corridor to the Mogao Caves at Dunhuang.    

In the south west of China Wu Min is your T&C friend.  She directs  Rural Chinese Visits  which can organize tailor made trips through the spectacular countryside of eastern Guizhou province.  Bicycle, hike, or take a four to seven day tour on local buses visiting truly rural villages around Kaili and stay in the homes of the Miao and Dong people thus helping them preserve their embroidery and indigo textiles crafts.

In Myanmar (Burma) Ma Hla Hla, the proprietor of the Three Seasons Hotel in Yangon will give you a warm welcome, and arrange for you to visit a children’s home run by the Servite Sisters and the free Muslim Hospital.  She will also help with travel bookings to other places in Myanmar and introduce you to friends of the Club in Mandalay, Bagan and Inle Lake who will take good care of you.
